Professional Background

Dr. Ojo received his medical degree from Lagos, Nigeria and received an MPH in Global Health from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He completed residency training in internal medicine at the University of Kentucky, Lexington and completed fellowship in nephrology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where he also received his PhD in epidemiology. Dr. Ojo has over 200 peer-reviewed publications and serves on editorial boards, Data and Safety Monitoring Boards (DSMBs), FDA Advisory Committees and NIH study sections. Dr. Ojo has mentored >20 research scientists and physician scientists and has been elected into the American Clinical and Climatological Association (ACCA), American Society of Clinical Investigation, and the Association of American Physicians.
