Professional Background
I completed Medical School from the University of Khartoum in Sudan. I then joined Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center (currently Beaumont Health–Dearborn) in Dearborn, Michigan for Internal Medicine Residency. This was followed by a 2 years Postdoctoral Research Rellowship in Hepatology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI under the mentorship of Dr. Anna Lok. I joined the University of Missouri-Columbia, MO for an Advanced Hepatology Fellowship following by joining East Carolina University in Greenville, NC for Gastroenterology Fellowship. I then topped my training by completing a Transplant Hepatology fellowship at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
